Dr. Qizhi Tang is a professor in immunology and director of the UCSF Transplantation Research Laboratory.
One area of research in the Tang Lab focuses on investigating regulatory T cell control of autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection to guide rationalized design of Treg-based immunotherapeutics for immune tolerance.
Another area of research in the Tang Lab aims to develop renewable immunosuppression-free beta cell replacement therapy for the treatment of diabetes.
