INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Biosciences Research Institute has named Investigator Decio Eizirik as Scientific Director of the IBRI Diabetes Center. Eizirik will focus on recruiting early career investigators and defining scientific direction with Administrative Director Robert Considine.

Eizirik will also be involved in the governance of the Lilly DCOE, which is a collaboration with the IU School of Medicine and Eli Lilly and Company where scientists have been researching diabetic complications and related metabolic disorders.
