Brian Fillenwarth

Brian Fillenwarth is responsible for all financial, accounting and reporting activities for the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI).

Prior to joining IBRI, Fillenwarth spent five years as the chief financial officer at Freije-RSC Engineered Solutions, a private subcontractor, service and engineering corporation, where he was responsible for all financial reporting, risk management and treasury needs. During his tenure Fillenwarth managed the integration of accounting systems and payroll processes for an acquisition involving 75 employees.

From 2007 to 2011, Fillenwarth held the positions of accounting manager and then controller at King Systems Corp., a medical device company, where his responsibilities included accurate and timely reporting of financial data and development of controls and policies, forecasting and procedural improvements. Among his accomplishments was managing the finance team through the company’s transition from a family-run business to a subsidiary of a publicly traded company in the United Kingdom.

Before working at King Systems Corp.,, Fillenwarth held controller and accounting management positions at various public and private companies within the service and real estate sectors.
