Justin Cobb is a versatile scientist with experiences in myriad laboratories encompassing many different fields over the course of six years. He has been exposed to a variety of different scientific techniques, which has aided him in roles in both academia and industrial settings. In his role at the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI), Cobb will utilize his skillset to aid the Mallone-You Lab in its research into the immunological nature of type 1 diabetes.
Cobb began his career at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, where he worked in varying laboratories consisting of immunology, tendon biology and molecular biology, before working for the University of Rochester Medical Center flow cytometry core.
Cobb moved to Indiana in 2021 to work for LabCorp as a scientific specialist I and gained a wealth of industrial experience prior to joining the IBRI.
Cobb lives in Cumberland, IN, with his girlfriend and their two Pomeranians (Meatloaf and Hazel). He is passionate about fishing, specifically trout and salmon. He loves to cook, particularly utilizing a smoker to make various smoked meats and cheeses.
